Dr. Speakingbulb
The German Gesellschaft für Comicforschung – Society for Comics Studies, ComFor — was founded on February 11th, 2005 in Koblenz. The society’s goals are to coordinate and promote comics scholarships in German areas. Beginning in 2006 they also organize yearly academic conferences at various universities.
However, they mainly collect and write pamphlets about certain aspects in comics, such as journalistic comics, literature adaptions or racism in comics.
As ComFor is primarily dedicated to facilitate communication among comics scholars working in german speaking areas, most of its page is in German but offers some articles and blog entries in English.
